Personally, I was drawn in by the culture surrounding The Agency from the beginning. The real estate market is competitive to its core, which causes realtors to run after titles such as “Number One Bestselling Team” (hard not to be when you have 15 agents on one team), but what do those titles mean to the clients who hire those agents? When you switch your focus from “one-upping” the realtor next door, and remember that on the human side of real estate you find hardworking individuals who are looking for trusting hands to guide and help with one of the largest transactions of their life, your perspective changes and your clients can see and feel the difference.

For a short time during a transaction, you are welcomed into people’s homes and lives, and when all the focus is on titles that really don’t mean anything to the public, clients become just another number in a “Top Producer’s” yearly goal—forgotten after close.

The Business Insider article speaks about The Agency’s drive to collaborate, share the load, and to work with, not against, other agents. The Agency focuses on the luxury feel of working with an agent whose main drive is your experience with them, no matter the price point or the situation surrounding a home being bought or sold. At The Agency, the client is the focus, not the rat race that competition has created.
